Description and Application:
Genuine bubbly lava rock. Light weight, in shades of black and dark grey. Ideal for creating rugged alien dioramas of lava flow and molten slag. The stone is approximately half the weight of "normal aggregates.

BBQ Rock:
Lava pebbles are an ideal size to provide even heat distribution for gas barbecues, however, before use it is essential that the rocks have been thoroughly dried as steam build-up with in the stone can cause violent explosions.
When in use turn the lava rock to burn off any food residue and grease. The stone may be cleaned with soapy water and /or proprietary kitchen degreasing agents, however, the above precaution regarding the drying of the stone before further use must be heeded.
Other Decorative Use:
As a distinctive decorative stone these lava pebbles can be used for plant displays as well as set dressing and photographic work.
Colour & Form:
We take great care to provide accurate images, however, shade variations can occur both with the products themselves and with ambient lighting.
It can also be difficult to adequately describe and visualise grain size, we do, however, show products in context with additional images.

Environmental Note:
Specialist Aggregates' Lava Rock is sourced from an ancient lava flow. The source is licensed by the local authorities for the working of stone and its use as a light weight insulating aggregate.
